Help! This lawyer is so full out it! Who is responsible for taxes when you submit a W9 Form?

17 April 2009 3 Comments

If you are waiting on a settlement and the lawyer asks you to fill out a W9 form before you receive your money.
Are you expecting the full amount without taxes taken out, because you are to fill them yourself at the end of the year because you filled out a W9 form or you received the settlement with taxes taken out with the breakdown of taxes on a separate sheet of paper and your lawyers assistant tells you – you will find out what was done at the end of the year.

OMG! I chose the wrong lawyer for this case. I wanted this to be over, I do not like dealing with this arrogant man, he is such a liar.
How do I address this? Shouldn’t I have to pay my own taxes if I filled out a W9 form? I don’t trust this guy!
