Is there a penalty for filing your taxes early?

30 October 2009 4 Comments

I heard from a friend that if you file your federal taxes before Feb. 1st, you get charged a penalty. Is this true? I know I’ve filed before that date in years past and never got a penalty, but I know tax laws changed this year and that might be one of them.
